About Cascade Tracktime
Thanks for choosing Cascade Tracktime. The most fun you can have on two wheels.
For 2009, we have changed our operations to stay in Oregon and focus on PIR and the new Oregon Raceway Park in Grass Valley. This track and PIR are about as different as they get. PIR is mostly flat, where ORP has constant elevation change. PIR is very very fast while ORP is very technical. Now you can experience the best of both worlds right here in Oregon with Cascade Tracktime.
Our website and purchasing options allow for even more flexibility than before. Simply create a log in and you can manage your Cascade Tracktime account. The schedule shows up to date information for our 2009 events also indicating availability and services offered on those dates. As with all Cascade Tracktime events, book early to save yourself the most money and to guarantee your spot. Those of you who like to wait until the last minute, we have a great option for you. Purchase a ticket pack and you can register late or cancel late without penalty. If you do wait too long to register and the event is full, we will place riders on our wait list, but there is no guarantee of getting into an event unless preregistered.
Our track events are designed to provide riders of all skill levels and abilities a safe and fun atmosphere to enjoy motorcycle track riding and improve your riding skill. However, our events tend to run at a faster pace than many other track days; please keep this in mind when selecting your ride group. Remember, there is no better learning environment or safer place than on a closed course or race track: Just you, your motorcycle and a few of your riding buddies along with our exemplary instructor staff.
Combined, Cascade Tracktime instructors annually ride tens of thousands of miles on the track and have over 200 years of track riding experience both in competition and recreation. Our instructors are here for one purpose: To help facilitate a safe and fun event while offering free of charge instruction to anyone interested in that service.
Our two-session days allow for riders of all skill levels 30 minutes of every hour on the race track. The two groups are separated by skill level and monitored by the instructors and turn workers. Group 1 are the faster intermediate and expert track riders while Group 2 is the slower intermediate and beginning track riders. We allow you to place yourself in the appropriate group, but are monitored throughout the event. Pick your riding group wisely to avoid having to be bumped up or down during an event. The three sessions days (dates where a NRS is conducted) are 20 minute sessions and are less expensive than the two-session days. Less tracktime = Less $$$.

Those of you who like to ride a bit less and save a whole bunch of money, we now have an option for you. Starting at the April 25th event at ORP, you can purchase a single riding level and be on the track for 2 hours for the day for just $139. Compare that price and you'll see what a great value it is:
|
- Group 1: Consisting of Level A+ and Level A
- Group 2: Consisting of Level B and Level C
|
|
All Levels (A+ thru C) will have 30 minute sessions each throughout the day for just $139. What that means is you receive a 30 minute session every two hours (see below). Those of you who wish to ride more, and as much as before, can simply purchase the Group of your choice ($219) and ride 30 minutes out of every hour throughout the day. Group 1 riders will always go out on the hour while Group 2 riders go out on the bottom half of the hour. The schedule will be updated on the website and will be as follows:
As you can see, this schedule provides each Level four (4) 30 minute sessions for a total of two hours on track per day. Compare that to the typical 20 minute session with a lunch break and with Cascade Tracktime you get almost the same amount of track time for only $139 ($34.75/session). Riders who wish to ride 30 minutes for each hour (complete Group) receive eight (8) 30 minute sessions for $219 ($27.38/session).
Those of you who have purchased ticket packs, it will be very simple. Each Level will be 75 points and the full Group will be 150 (same as current).
This new format should allow for less traffic, free up instruction opportunities for each level, and more continuity of skill levels while still allowing for the most track time at the best price.
